Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt Consultant


POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide Lean Six Sigma (LSS) consulting and training services in the greater Boston area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as role model, mentor, and agent of change for development and refinement of LSS projects
  • Educate, advise, and guide existing Black Belts at client sites to achieve the best possible implementation of LSS
  • Serve as technical expert on LSS in support of client leadership
  • Understand and practice Change Management; guide client through the corporate culture change necessary to effectively adopt LSS as a management tool
  • Deliver Lean Six Sigma training in a classroom environment and facilitate hands-on exercises and simulations
  • Create, customize, and modify existing Lean Six Sigma training materials based on customer needs assessments and knowledge of industry bets practices
  • Provide individual mentoring and coaching to Lean Six Sigma practitioners


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5-10 years experience as a Master Black Belt
  • Demonstrated mastery and application of Lean and Six Sigma
  • Experience assisting senior management with LSS deployment
  • Exceptional teaching and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with very junior employees as well as senior executives
  • Experience in Change Management and Conflict Management methodologies
  • Experience managing Lean Six Sigma project portfolios and providing focused mentoring and coaching
  • Experience developing Lean/Six Sigma training curricula and associated training materials
  • Dynamic approach to presentation/training at all levels of an organization with the ability to translate concepts into practical application
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and change management skills
  • Exceptional computer skills including operation of Microsoft Office and Minitab statistical software
  • 3 years project management/planning experience with knowledge of civil works construction requirements and practices
  • College degree (BS/BA)
  • Willingness to focus full-time on Boston-area clientele, and willingness to travel 50+% to serve clientele outside of the Boston metropolitan area


PREFERRED:

  • Graduate degree (MBA/MS)
  • Project/Program Management Experience
  • Experience applying Theory of Constraints, especially Critical Chain Project Management
